UPSC Planner (https://www.upscplanner.com) is operated by PlannerEdge Labs, a sole proprietorship based in Latur, Maharashtra, India. This policy describes the personal data we currently handle and how we use it.
Data we collect
- Account details: email address, name, and profile picture. With Google sign-in we receive these from Google. With email sign-in we store a hashed password, never the password itself.
- Sign-in records: the date and method of each sign-in.
- Learning activity: practice sessions, the answers you choose, whether they were correct, time taken, streaks, and study progress.
- Usage analytics: analytics tools collect website usage information such as pages viewed and device or browser details. Each analytics provider determines its own identifiers and cookies.
- Technical logs: our servers keep operational request logs (such as the requested path, response status, timing, and your account ID when signed in). Our hosting providers also record technical data such as IP address and browser type.
- Support correspondence: if you email us, we keep the message and our reply to resolve your request.
How we use it
To run your account, save and show your progress, keep the service secure and reliable, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, and understand which features are used. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising.
Browser storage and cookies
We use cookies and browser storage for sign-in, your theme preference, practice sessions, and study progress. Analytics providers may set their own identifiers.
Service providers
We use trusted third-party service providers for website hosting, database storage, authentication, analytics, email delivery, and security. These providers process information as needed to support our services. Depending on the provider, certain data may be processed or stored outside India.
Retention
Account and learning data are kept while your account is active. Some information may be retained where necessary for security, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or legitimate record-keeping, and in backups for a limited period.
